Warwickshire policeman is among best of best in the world at martial art

Warwickshire Pc Scott Caswell from Whitnash achieved a life time ambition when he recently competed in the PUMA Tae Kwon Do World Open Championships taking a silver medal and becoming number two in the world.

The 41-year-old took up the sport aged seven and had achieved his black belt by the age of 13.

He became junior national champion and was part of the junior demonstration team in the first World Championship. Since he began the sport he has won more than 30 medals.

PC Caswell’s recent achievement is even more impressive as he left the sport for twenty years while serving in the armed forces.

His daughter Maddie Caswell, ten, is already a British champion and world bronze medallist and has her sights set on being a future Olympian.
