Turney off the mark as Bears continue to lead the way
The downhill skier was introduced with Bears holding a ten-point advantage at Essex Outlaws and made an instant impression with a drive to the baskets and her maiden two-pointer.
Turney added a second basket in the third period as Bears went on to close out a 47-29 win and coach Tom Masterson singled out her performance in an otherwise lacklustre display from his team.

“Outlaws are determined, tough team, but we are better than we played.
“The positive was seeing Anna get on the scoresheet, which gave her some reward for all the hard work she has put in since the start of the season.”
The Bears’ next game is on January 4 when they entertain London Titans at Warwickshire College’s Henley-in-Arden campus (12.30pm).
