Stone takes on Olympic champ
Leamington Swimming Club’s Ellen Stone, left, came up against world record holder and Olympic champion Ruta Meilutyte in the 100m breaststroke while competing at the ASA National Swimming Championships at Ponds Forge in Sheffield. Stone, 17, also reached the 200m semi-final with a time of 2min 43.2sec.
Clubmate Felicity Dempster, right, swam in the 200m, 400m and 800m freestyle events, with the 14-year-old achieving a new personal best of 9:24.94 in the 800m.
