Sehmi given the nod for London
Great Britain have suffered two successive fourth-placed finishes at the Paralympics and Warwick-based Sehmi is one of five players who missed out on bronze in Beijing alongside Andy Barrow, Ross Morrison, Jonny Coggan and Bulbul Husain.
Sehmi expressed his delight at the announcement, saying: “I’m very proud and honoured to be selected for London 2012.

Hide Ad“Although I competed in Beijing, it makes it extra special to know that the team will be competing at a home Games.
“A lot of hard work has been done by the whole squad but it’s been worth it to get to this point and we will move on together from here.
“Wheelchair rugby is a team sport and it’s very fast-paced, hard hitting and full of adrenaline. Once people see what takes place on the court, they’ll be hooked.”
Hussain is the only addition to the GB squad which lost the final of the London Invitational International tournament to Australia last month.
