The threatened rain held off to leave ideal conditions for the 10th running of this popular local race on a tough undulating course with the first half made worse by numerous water filled potholes around the Comyn before the easier running second half around the streets and local parks.

Always at the front, Savery pulled away from Ali Smith (Coventry Godiva Harriers) at around the two-mile mark to win by over a minute.
