WEEKEND RESULTS ROUND UP

Snow on the access roads forced the cancellation of the event at Eyam Moor, near Chesterfield on Sunday, but the Epping Forest Michael Brandon Mitre in Essex provided a great area for running. Kirsten Strain W21 was top woman and was 4th overall on the Brown 9km course finding the 20 controls in 1.07.59mins and Chris McCartney M45 was 5th in 1.08.52mins on the same course. Carolyn Marr W65 was 2nd on the Short Green 3km course taking 32.34mins and Sue Hallett W70 was 5th in 39.07mins.

It was icy on Saturday morning at the Kingsbury Water Park local event organised by Carolyn and Dave Marr. Many club juniors and new members enjoyed the three courses. Winner of the Short 2km course with 9 controls was Sam Leadley M16, fresh from the earlier Park Run, taking only 11.08mins, 2nd was Florence Lunn W12 15.39mins and new junior member Bethan Dunn W14 was 3rd in 17.21mins.
