A full version of the drama will be staged at the big Sydenham 50th Anniversary celebration at the centre on Saturday July 5.

In Sydni Tickle (written by local writer Bev Murray and performed by Mindy Chillery of Golden Loom), the ghost of Joan Tickle visits the Sydenham estate, where she and her husband, Arthur, were farmers in the 1940s and 50s.

Joan has come to join in with the estate’s 50th anniversary celebrations and to reminisce about her time there. Fellow spirits join her.

All anchored in historical facts, this lively piece gives a fascinating and entertaining flavour of the stories contained in the new book.
