Hawkes is Central star

Ben Hawkes led the Central Area boys to victory for the third successive year in the Country Cross Country Championships at Princethorpe College.

The Milverton School pupil won the boys’ race, with Rhys James (St Lawrence) coming in second and William Eadon fourth.

There were also some strong individual performances from the Central Area girls, with Georgia Clarke (Bishops Itchington) just being beaten into second and Holly Cherry (Telford) third as they finished runners-up to Southern.
