Gulliver routs Hedman but falls at the last to Sherrock
Trina Gulliver thrashed top seed Deta Hedman 5-0 on her way to the final of the England Open at the Bunn Leisure Holiday Park in West Sussex last weekend.
However, the nine-time world champion found no answer to the emerging talent of Fallon Sherrock, who beat her six legs to three to complete a memorable double having also won the National singles.
Gulliver had earlier won her group with a victory over Paula Jacklin (4-0), before wins over Hedman and Lorraine Winstanley (5-2) set up a clash against Ferron.
