Leamington entertain Stalybridge Celtic tomorrow in the first installment of a Skrill North double-header which will see Paul Holleran’s side travel to Bower Fold seven days later.

With both sides’ opponents in FA Cup action on October 26, the clubs agreed to rearrange the fixture, originally scheduled for Tuesday March 18.

And while Holleran admitted the quick return was “not ideal”, he said it was a sensible solution to prevent another blank weekend.

“It’s much better to go up on a Saturday than getting the players to travel to the other side of Manchester on a Tuesday night.”
