RUGBY TOWN: Points shared at Spalding United

Kevin Thornton’s equaliser in the 55th minute earned a point for Rugby Town against Spalding United on Saturday.

The hosts had gone ahead in the 18th minute, but Rugby levelled early in the second half.

It keeps Rugby ninth in NPL Division One South, six points away from a play-off place, but still with an outside chance.

Tomorrow night (Tuesday) they travel to 13th-placed Gresley for a 7.45pm kick-off.
