Folkard is a hot shot
Folkard learnt at the start of the year that she will receive no financial help towards her travel and expenses following on from a poor showing from TeamGB at the London Olympics where they failed to win a medal.
However, the 29-year-old, who admits she might have to take on a part-time job to fund her efforts, has not let the lack of backing affect her form.

Hide AdA record-breaking score at the FITA 25 tournament in Stourbridge was added to last weekend with a score of 1,163 points for the combined FITA round at Droitwich Archery Society’s annual world record status event, which smashed the previous mark by five.
The round involved an 18m FITA round and a 25m FITA round (five dozen arrows at a three-spot 40cm face) followed immediately by a further five dozen arrows at a three-spot 60cm face.
Folkard amassed 580 points at 18 metres and 583 at 25 metres to extend her own national record.
She was well ahead of second- placed Becky Ashley (Droitwich), who scored 1,040 and ex-international Candy Schofield (Woking), who was 28 points further back in third.
