Night of celebration

In a remarkable campaign, the 1st and 2nd XI teams clinched their respective titles in the Warwickshire League, while the club also won the 20/20 Senior Cup, West Midlands Development League and gained promotion in the Midweek League.

The presentation evening is open to seniors, under-17s and under-15s, with capacity limited to 100.

With all their league fixtures having been completed, Hunningham were in friendly action last weekend with a home match against Banbury side Horley.

Batting first, Horley were dismissed for 159 in 35.3 overs with Omar Iqbal taking three for 26 and Charles Wale picking up three for three in a three-ver burst.

In reply, Ed Pettifer (20) was the only batsman to make any impression before a remarkable last-wicket stand between Wale and Steve James threatened to take Hunningham to victory.

Number nine Wale was unbeaten on 50 and James reached 34 before the last man was forced to retire hurt after being hit on the shoulder by a lifting ball, leaving Hunningham 28 runs short of their target.
