Cooper is star performer for Free Church at Burton-Uxbridge event
Timmy Cooper led the way, winning the under-15 boys’ title, defeating Leo Long in the final.
He also reached the semi-final of the junior event, losing out to Will Hornsey.

Hide AdLee Dorning emulated Cooper, winning his groups in both events and progressing to the quarter-finals where he lost to eventual winners Cooper and Hornsey.
Sam Weaving failed to qualify in the junior boys but made amends by winning the junior consolation event.
The rest of the party were far less experienced but did themselves proud.
Jenny Singleton won her under-13 girls’ group and then went on to contest the semi-final where she went down to Rugby’s Emma Kilpatrick.

Hide AdHer twin brother Lewis also qualified for the knockout stages after finishing second in his under-13 boys’ group.
Nine-year-old Milly Green, in her first 1-star tournament, finished third of five in her under-11 girls’ group while her brother, 12-year-old Jack, just missed out on qualification in the under-13s.
However, his performance bodes well for the future.
