Beaton’s impressive recent form has seen him guarantee his place in The Grand Slam of Darts to be held in Wolverhampton next month.
Nigel Heydon, meanwhile, reached the Players’ Championship quarter-final on Saturday.
Heydon saw off the challenge of Barrie Bates, Co Stompe, Simon Whitlock and Alan Tabern before Mervyn King avenged the previous week’s defeat to the Undertaker with a 6-3 success in the last eight.
The Lillington thrower was knocked out in the fourth round on Sunday by Jamie Caven.
