Zac the lurcher wins Decorate Your Pet

Zac the lurcher was chosen as the overall winner and Bruce the cat and Meg the dog were named as the runners-up.

Competition judge, reporter Carrie Catterall, said: “We had so many wonderful entries from all over the area, but I was looking for pictures that were creative and showed real effort.

“All the winning pictures were original and looked like owners had put a lot of thought into decorating their pet.”

Kenilworth Pet and Garden Supplies, which is sponsoring our Decorate your Pet competition, will provide Zac’s owners will a £20 voucher to spend at the shop in Abbey End.

Bruce and Meg’s owners will be given a £5 voucher.

Miss Catterall added: “I want to say congratulations to everybody who entered our competition because all the entries were full of festive fun.”

Winner - Dawn Ellis’ lurcher Zac

First runner-up - Louise Wiseman’s cat Bruce

Second runner-up - Caroline Piper’s dog Meg

Other entries included:

Mrs Gledrie’s dog Tavy, June Keenan’s Tippy, Roz Kenderdine’s pug puppy Gertrude and Louise Wiseman’s Texel ram.
