Woman glassed in the face in Whitnash: two arrested

Two people have been arrested after a woman was the victim of a glass attack in Whitnash.

Police arrested a 37-year-old woman from Leamington on suspicion of assault grevious bodily harm with intent following the incident, which occurred at the car park next to the Whitnash Tavern in St Margaret’s Road last Friday (October 18) at 8pm.

A 43-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of assisting the suspect.

After the attack, the victim was taken by ambulance to the University Hospital in Coventry for treatment to two or three large cuts to her face believed to be caused by a glass.

Following questioning, the man and woman who had been arrested were both released on bail with strict conditions.
