Warwick man faces sexual offence charges

A Warwick man faces charges relating to sexual offences he is alleged to have committed in the 1980s.

Barry Phillips, 57 and formerly of Newburgh Crescent, has been charged by Warwickshire Police with three charges of rape, three charges of indecent assault and three charges of gross indecency, all against a female under the age of 16.

The offences are alleged to have taken place between 1983 and 1989.

Phillips is due to appear before magistrates in Leamington today (Monday).
