Warwick Co-op workers get muddy in woodland effort

VOLUNTEERS from a Warwick firm have been building paths, cutting back trees and helping to create a pond at Leamington’s Foundry Wood.

Two groups from the the Midcounties Co-operative’s learning and development team spent two days working at the site on land close to the former Ford Foundry site, which is well on its way to becoming a new public green space, thanks to community group ARC CIC.

The project will introduce a diverse range of wildlife to the area, including several varieties of trees, wild grasses and pond life and there will be an area dedicated to housing honey bees.
