TWO witnesses asked to come forward after fatal collision near Wellesbourne

POLICE investigating the fatal crash on the A429 between Wellesbourne and Barford on Thursday 6 October have re-issued their appeal for witnesses to come forward.

The incident involving a silver Renault Clio, travelling north, left the road and rolled into a ditch near to the Horticultural Research Centre at about 9pm.

Nineteen-year-old Christopher Lloyd Green, from Stratford, sustained fatal injuries in the collision.

Police investigating the incident would like to trace two witnesses who may have seen the silver Renault Clio before the crash and may have valuable information about the circumstances of the collision.

The first is the driver of a dark coloured estate car which was travelling towards Warwick but which did not stop.

The second is the driver of a vehicle which did stop and who told another witness that “his wife was in his car and was a GP”.

Pc Liam Ryan, of the Major Incident Investigation Team, who is leading the investigation, is asking these two people to contact him on 415415.
