A LEAMINGTON interior designs firm has gone into voluntary liquidation.

Jane Jobson Interiors Ltd in Regent Grove was placed into creditors’ voluntary liquidation at a hearing at Rimes and Co Ltd in Bewdley last Monday.

The firm had been ordered to make payments following a number of outstanding debts.

Speaking to the Courier after the hearing, Jane Jobson, who ran the company, said: “Jane Jobson Interior Design Ltd has gone into liquidation.

“The company that is currently trading is Jane Jobson Contracts Ltd. It’s a different company.”

Terry Naylor, a shareholder in Jane Jobson Contracts, which is based at the same address as Jane Jobson Interiors Ltd had been, said the firm had sought professional advice on what action to take following the liquidation.

Voluntary liquidation involves dissolving all of a company’s assets, paying off employees in accordance with redundancy law and closing the business down.

It is usually only considered when all other options have failed and the liquidation takes effect when the members pass a resolution to wind up the company.
