Three arrested after assault in Lillington

Police in Leamington are appealing for witnesses after a 51-year-old man received head injuries following an incident in the town on Saturday evening.

Officers have launched an assault investigation after the incident, which occurred at about 8.20pm outside Tesco Express on Crown Way.

A 16-year-old boy from Rugby, a 16-year-old boy from Leamington and a 20-year-old from Leamington were all arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

They have all been bailed until the end of July while the investigation continues.

The injured man, from Leamington, is in a stable condition in hospital.

It is thought that there were a lot of people in the area at the time that may have witnessed the incident and will be able to help officers with their investigation.
