Teenagers injured in late night collision

THREE teenagers were taken to hospital after being struck by a car in Mere End Road, Honiley.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the area at around 10.40pm on Friday.

Three ambulances, an ambulance officer in a rapid response car, the West Midlands CARE team and a number of BASICS doctors attended the incident.

Solihull police also attended the scene after receiving a phone call complaining about rowdy behaviour from party goers in the street.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “On arrival at the scene crews found three teenagers who had reportedly been in collision with a car.

“The teenagers, all males, were aged between 15 to 19 years of age.

“They were treated for a number of injuries ranging from leg pain to back pain.

“All three casualties were immobilised using neck collars and spinal boards before being conveyed to University Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire for further assessment and treatment.”
