Stoneleigh centre to host baby first aid course

This is why St John Ambulance, which carried out the research, has launched a nursery rhyme-themed campaign aimed at teaching people baby CPR - and the charity is also running a baby first aid course in Stoneleigh on February 8.

As part of the campaign, the charity has developed a short film - featuring Incy Wincy Spider, Humpty Dumpty, Jack and Jill and the Cat and the Fiddle - that helps viewers remember baby CPR.

St John Ambulance’s chief executive Sue Killen said: “We know that a major barrier to parents learning is that baby CPR frightens them, so we’ve made it as easy as possible to learn.

“We’re asking everyone to share the video so that all parents, grandparents and carers can learn what to do in those crucial minutes after a baby has stopped breathing.”
