Sign up for Warwick district groups’ charity swim

Plans are already well underway for the Leamington and Warwick and Kenilworth branches of Soroptimists International’s 16th swimathon, which takes place at Warwick School on October 20 from 11am. Members met Barbara Elsey, regional community fundraiser for the NSPCC - which the event is supporting this year, to launch the 2013 event.

Teams - adults and children - of six swimmers and a non-swimming captain are now being invited to enter. They will swim in relay for 55 minutes on the day in the 25m pool and their sponsorship money will go towards the NSPCC’s Childline schools service in Coventry and Warwickshire.
