Road to nowhere is only temporary

DRIVERS and pedestrians who have been confused by the latest road markings at the junction of Hamilton Terrace and Regent Grove need not be concerned for much longer.

The new section of road, which was once a paved area with flower beds, has been added as part of Severn Trent’s ongoing programme of sewer improvement works in Leamington town centre.

Mark Lasance, project manager for contractor NMCNomenca, said the work to return the section to normal would take place by the end of this month.

This will include new flower beds, which will be paid for by Severn Trent and have been designed in agreement with Warwick District Council’s amenities manager.

The work has been scheduled to avoid disruption for traders and shoppers during the January sales.
