Police name driver killed in Wellesbourne crash

POLICE have named a young Stratford man who died following a road traffic incident on the A429 between Barford and Wellesbourne on Thursday 6 October.

Christopher Lloyd Green, 19, of St Peter’s Way died at University Hospital, Coventry last week after his silver Renault Clio left the road and rolled into a ditch near the Horticultural Research Centre on the A429 at around 9pm on Thursday October 6.

Mr Green was released from the car by firefighters and taken to hospital, but later died of his injuries.

Police closed the A429 to traffic between Wellesbourne and the turning for Charlecote to allow collision investigators to examine the scene.

Police would like to hear from anyone travelling on the A429 between Wellesbourne and Barford on Thursday evening around 9pm or who saw the silver Renault Clio before the crash.
