Police give warning after medication is stolen in Rugby

Warwickshire Police have issued a warning after a rucksack containing medication was stolen from a bus stop in Rugby on Tuesday (17 February).

At approximately 8pm, a man was waiting at a bus stop on Murray Road to catch a bus into town. When the man got on the bus, he realised he had left his bag at the bus stop. When he returned shortly later, the bag was missing.

The black Nike rucksack contained a box of Nitrazepam prescription tablets, a Samsung Galaxy mobile phone, a charger, a pair of jeans and a top.

The mobile phone has now been switched off.

Anyone who finds the medication is urged to hand it into their nearest police station or chemist as soon as possible.

The tablets should not be consumed.
