Police appeal after woman hit by van in Southam

Warwickshire Police are appealing for witnesses after {http://www.leamingtoncourier.co.uk/news/local-news/woman-sustains-life-threatening-injuries-after-being-hit-by-van-1-6496302|a 65-year-old woman sustained serious injuries when she was hit by a van in Southam yesterday (Tuesday)}.

The incident took place in Coventry Road at about 11.30am when the woman was hit by a White Mercedes Sprinter van.

The victim sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision and was taken to Walsgrave hospital where she remains in a non-life threatening condition.

The driver of the Mercedes Sprinter, a 21-year-old-man, is currently assisting police with enquires.

Officers are also keen to speak to the occupant of a Land Rover who had stopped at the scene to help.

He is described as a large built white balding man, and he may have vital information which can help.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have been within the area at the time and witnessed the incident.

If anyone does have information they should contact Warwickshire Police on 101, quoting incident 85 of December 30 2014.
