Police appeal after man stabbed in Leamington

Warwickshire Police have only just released details of the attack last week as well as of two arrests which have since made in hope of tracking down witnesses.

The 29-year-old man was walking in the Parade at around 1.45am when he stopped to speak to two men.

He was then stabbed in the lower stomach sustaining injuries which police have described as not life threatening. He was given emergency first aid by a passer-by before being rushed to University Hospital Coventry.

Police are now hoping to track down the passer-by, and anyone else who may be able to help.

Warwickshire Police said the offender is described as a white man, 38 years of age, around 6ft tall, or average build and a short beard. He was wearing a dark coloured baseball cap, dark clothing, believed to be a jacket and trousers at the time of the attack, and rode off on a bicycle towards Hamilton Terrace.

He had a holdall bag with him.

Police have arrested a 38 year-old man on suspicion of wounding with intent in connection with the incident.

He is currently on bail until December 8.

A 42 year-old man has also been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm (GBH) in connection with the same incident.

He was bailed until December 16.
