PICTURES: Runners pound streets in Kenilworth Half Marathon

Over 750 runners turned out to take part in Kenilworth’s annual half marathon on Sunday.

Hosted by Kenilworth Runners, the 13 mile race drew in supporters along the route and raised thousands of pounds for district charities.

Organisers have thanked everyone for taking part and coming out to support the runners in what was an “excellent morning”.

Peter Bryan, race director said: “On behalf of all at Kenilworth Runners, I would like to say a big ‘thank you’ to the residents of Fishponds Road, John O’Gaunt Road & Raunds Hill for their co-operation.”

Charity funds from the day ran into thousands of pounds which will be donated to Myton Hospice and Zoe’s Place.

Next year’s race will be held on Sunday 6 September.
