Myton has been blown away by the support it has received as supporters have embraced the new offerings or come up with ways to raise money themselves.

One such challenge the charity is hoping will inspire its supporters to hit the fundraising trail is the 'Myton Marathon'.

And they are appealing for people to use the onset of spring and the lighter nights to throw themselves into the challenge.

Whether participants want to run, walk or jog it, complete a marathon in a day or a little bit each day of March, all the charity asks is that they complete the grand total of 26.2 miles throughout the month and help raise as much money as possible to support terminally ill patients and their families across Coventry and Warwickshire.

Clare Cropp, Myton’s fundraising operations manager, said: “Winter lockdown has seen a lot of people stuck at home way more than they would normally be.

“We hope this fabulous new Myton Marathon challenge will be the perfect tonic to get you up and out, back building up your fitness and having some great fun while raising vital money for Myton as we continue to battle the effects of Covid-19.

“With 31 days in March, participants would only have to commit to less than a mile a day to complete the challenge – unless of course you would like to do more.”

Everyone taking part, who raises more than £75, will receive a Myton water bottle, while a prize of a Fitbit Inspire is on offer for the event’s biggest fundraiser.
