A garage in Warwick is joining the effort to help NHS staff and keyworkers by keeping their cars on the road.

Owners Matt Willoughby and Nicki Duffy took over the garage in 2017 and have devoted their services to prioritise NHS staff.

They have always offered a 20 per cent discount off labour costs for NHS staff and during the coronavirus pandemic have been working harder to keep NHS staff and keyworkers on the road by offering flexible collection times to suit shift workers and prioritising their vehicles.

Nicki and Matt said: "We have a fantastic relationship with the staff at the hospital.

"We have put a non-contact system in place so that keyworkers can drop their cars off and post their keys.

"Payment can be made over the phone if need be and our mechanics wear gloves while adhering to social distancing measures in place.

"At this time we are prioritising NHS staff and keyworkers. This week alone we have had a huge demand of urgent repairs for paramedics, nurses, admin staff, shop workers, and delivery drivers to name a few who all rely on their cars to get to work.

"The government currently allows garages to remain open and given that we are helping so many NHS staff and keyworkers at this time we hope that we will be able to continue to do so in the event of further restrictions being put in place.

"We will continue to stay open as long as possible and this of course depends on the government's instructions and whether or not we can still get parts from our suppliers."

Keyworkers can call 01926 402101 to book in for urgent repairs or tyres.

All calls divert to mobiles after hours. The garage also has a Facebook page where they post updates go to: https://www.facebook.com/VTSAUTOMOTIVE/
