Rugby council is pursuing court action to evict the travellers from The Queen's Diamond Jubilee Centre car park behind Whitehall Rec.

Residents first reported seeing travellers on the site on Sunday, and when the Advertiser visited on Monday we saw seven caravans, with the gate at the entrance of the car park propped open.

Rugby council this afternoon told the Advertiser they have served the travellers with a notice to leave and secured a provisional telephone listing for court tomorrow morning.

Should that go ahead, the council will likely secure a court order allowing them to evict the travellers from the car park.
