Every month the charity needs to raise £750,000 to continue providing its services for those who need them most both now and in the future.

With all of its forthcoming events postponed or cancelled, it has launched some virtual fundraising events to try and keep the money coming in and offer you new ways to raise vital funds

On Friday (April 24) people can take part in a virtual zumba class with instructor Matt Print.

Tickets can be bought for £6 per person.

Visit www.mytonhospice.org/zumba to sign up.

On Sunday (April 26) the 2.6 Challenge will launch on what should have been the day of the 40th London Marathon - the world’s biggest one-day annual fundraising event.

People can take part in an activity of their choice based around the numbers 2.6 or 26 and fundraise or donate to their chosen charity.

People of all ages and fitness levels are taking on The 2.6 Challenge with a host of activities – from walking, running or cycling 2.6 miles or 2.6km, to more obscure activities like juggling for 2.6 minutes or doing 26 laps of their garden on a space hopper.

And on Friday May 1 from 7.30pm the charity will hold a virtual quiz for all the family hosted by DJ Sparky Marky.

Entrance costs £15 per family or £5 per person.

Visit www.mytonhospice.org/quiz to register.

The charity is also appealing for people to start thinking about the 'preloved' items of clothing they have in their wardrobes to donate when the Myton Hospices shops re-open after the lockdown.
