Leamington games publisher Pixel Toys is adding to staff numbers despite lockdown

A Leamington-based games publisher has been thriving so much during lockdown that it has recruited 30 new members of staff and is looking for even more.

Pixel Toys has seen its fast-expanding team grow from 55 to 85 employees since the Coronavirus outbreak began in late February.

The company has another 20 new roles to fill between now and next month.

David Solari, vice president of operations and marketing at Pixel Toys said: “As a video games developer, we know we are in a fortunate position, compared to most, during these uncertain times.

"In fact, we’ve generated over 50 new jobs for games developers with outstanding technical and creative skills.

"Hiring so many people in such a short space of time is always a challenge because you want the best talent, and hiring during a pandemic has definitely been an eye-opener.

"We feel really lucky to be in this position and it’s an exciting time for the company.”
