The original shows at the Ricoh Arena sold out in a matter of hours and such was the demand for tickets it was decided to return to the Midlands for more performances.

Now it has been announced that the show will be heading to more locations - including Stoneleigh Park.

There will be five performances across two days January 2 and January 3.

'Horrible Christmas' tells the story of how Christmas came to be what it is today in the company of Charles Dickens, Oliver Cromwell, King Henry VI and St Nicholas, as the audience are taken an 'adventure' with a boy who is trying to save Christmas from a jolly man dressed in red.

At the socially distanced events families can watch the performances from their own vehicles.

Neal Foster, Horrible Histories actor/manager, said: "We can't wait to be back on stage in cities and towns that will be crying out for a Christmas show to entertain their families.

"As you’d expect from Horrible Histories, it’s not a traditional pantomime, but a journey through the story of Christmas in the company of the season’s most fabulous characters.

"It’s the perfect story for families this winter, as one young boy battles to save Christmas for the world, in this hilarious, joyous and moving celebration.”
