A photo of dramatic skies over Kenilworth will be the front cover image of this year's Friends of Abbey Fields (FOAF) 2021 calendar.

The photo, titled “Mackerel Skies over Abbey Fields”was taken by Sam Sexton and he is pictured being congratulated by FOAF webmaster David Emsley. Sam and David are standing in the exact spot where Sam took his photograph. It was selected, out of nearly 150 that were submitted, by Kenilworth’s mayor Cllr Richard Dickson.

David Emsley stated that the quality of photographs was the best they have ever had submitted and he was delighted with the quality of the final calendar produced by Emmerson Press.

A special feature this year was that, for 2021, Priors Field School also had a competition to write a ‘one line’ statement describing each month.

The calendars will again be priced at £6 each with members receiving a free one. They will be available on-line via www.friendsofabbeyfields.org.uk but also from the following outlets in Kenilworth with Calendars at the end of August:
