A five-year-old from Harbury has sold some of his toys to help feed NHS staff.

Noah-jake Bowell held sales over the weekend and on Monday to help raise money for The Barn Kitchen in Coventry, who have been producing meals for NHS staff.

The family set up the sale on the driveway with a charity bucket so people could help themselves and give a donation.

Michelle Lawley, Noah-jake's mum said: "The Barn Kitchen feeds the NHS and they are asking people to donate to make meals for our local NHS hospital frontline workers.

"My partner (his dad) donated and Noah-jake heard us talking and was asking lots of questions about what there doing so we explained to him about it, he understands that £5 can feed three NHS frontline workers.

"He kept asking if he could help them, so off his own back cleared some of his toys and asked if he could sell them for donations as he wanted to donate £5 to The Barn Kitchen.

"He soon made the £5 so said try for £100, so we carried on, as the weather became against him I said I would list on Facebook for him so people could have the items and put a donation in for it.

"We had a few people also donate some items for him to add to the collection."

"We have had a chat with him about what a special thing he's doing and how proud he should be of himself, he answered us with 'I'm not that special, the lady at the Barn Kitchen who feeding the NHS is the special one for doing this.'"

Noah-jake raised £355 for The Barn Kitchen.
