The reunion will be held the Kenilworth Sports and Social Club from 7pm to midnight on Saturday May 2.

Organisers said last year's reunion was a huge success and they will try and follow the same pattern again this year.

Steve Mallorie, the event’s organiser, said the reunion will include former pupils and teachers from when the grammar school opened in 1962 up until when it transitioned to Kenilworth School.

Mr Mallorie said: “It’s a way of remembering the past. It stimulates memories that are long forgotten.

"Following the great success of the 2019 reunion and celebrating 50 years since leaving for the 69’ers, great interest was shown in doing it again next year to all meet up again and celebrate 50 years for the 70’ers."

"I am still awaiting confirmation of the old KGS tour but hopefully that will take place on Friday afternoon.

"The Class of 71 Lunch is being held in York this year on Friday March 20 but there may well be a lunch in Kenilworth as well."

Anyone interested in attending the event should visit the Kenilworth Grammar School Facebook page.
