At the moment, the land supports a fishing lake and varied wildlife and creates a buffer between the existing houses on Harbury Lane and Bishops Tachbrook and motorway traffic.
If the application is passed it would mean infill of the remaining countryside on this stretch of Harbury Lane. As there will be two access points onto Harbury Lane, this will generate another several hundred cars per day using Harbury Lane. This land was not proposed as suitable for building when the council’s local plan was circulated for discussion and as the council has yet to approve and publish the finalised version of this plan it would be wrong to grant permission for building on land not identified as part of it. Any objections or comments regarding the plans must be lodged before May 31.
