The answer is blowing in the wind

Courier readers and townsfolk must welcome the renovation of the Warwick museum fabric and with it the opportunity to restore its clear and classic weather vane to working order.

Some years ago the four weather vanes on St Mary’s tower were re gilded. Since then they have flaunted their elegance and chorused function over the museum’s individual rusty stasis; always indicating the wind from the south west.

Warwick’s ancient centre of history and science should surely at least indicate the correct wind direction. - Richard Warner, Cocksparrow Street, Warwick.
