Support our sex venue licence campaign

Given significant concern over the recent licensing of a sexual entertainment venue (SEV) in Leamington, may I encourage readers please to support the petition at http://tinyurl.com/SEVnilcap? This calls on WDC to place a ‘nil cap’ on future applications and also not to permit SEVs within 500 metres of places where people live or children gather. Details can be read on the website.

We would particularly welcome support from other areas of the district. Current legislation is intended to give a strong voice to the local community when faced with such applications, but despite clear and reasoned local opposition, councillors from other areas of Warwick district voted to grant the licence. We therefore request electors from across the district to work with us through the petition and, if possible, by lobbying district councillors by email, post, or in person.
