Do more for the people of Warwick

So now Warwick has got a new town centre manager. But nothing seems to have changed. The emphasis still seems to be all about tourism.

May I suggest Mr Kirkwood stands on top of St Mary’s church and looks around at the catchment area of Warwick - the Woodloes, the Packmores, the Percy, the Forbes etc. It’s time local people are given more consideration.

We are lucky to have two butchers shops and a chemist but what we need are greengrocers, bakers and affordable shoe and clothes shops. The town seems to be full of coffee shops and second hand shops. We have a massive square but it’s only used a couple of times a year.

Warwick is a market town and with the amount of people living around Warwick it should be a boom town. Past councils and chamber of trade have concentrated too much on tourism. So come on, do something for local people for a change. - Terry Jones, Lysier Close, Warwick.
