Cannot praise centre highly enough

I have just read today’s headline concerning the possible sale of Helen Ley Care Centre to Castel Froma (Courier last week).

I have just returned from a week of respite there and I cannot praise the staff highly enough for their dedication, expertise and the compassion they continue to show during these stressful times. Both staff and guests are devastated at the thought of the closure of this vital resource for MS sufferers and their families.

The past months have been very difficult for everyone connected with Helen Ley, including the wonderful volunteers and students who help to maintain the positive and homely atmosphere there.

Let us hope that this offer from Castel Froma is not another false hope and that as mentioned in your article they will also keep the current staff whose years of priceless knowledge and skill make Helen Ley the unique place it is. - Clare Dale, Birdingbury.
