New play equipment as part of revamp for park

A play tower, a see-saw, a frog rocker and two large picnic tables were added to The Dell in Beauchamp Hill last month.

This additions were part of an ongoing improvement project, which is being funded through the Community Spaces grants programme.

The programme is being managed by Groundwork UK, which is an Award Partner to the Big Lottery Fund.

About £50,000 has been given to the Friends of the Dell to pay for the project, which includes blunting spiked railings, installing new handrails and putting up new signs.

The work is due to be complete by December 1.
