A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews arrived to find the biker that had been thrown into a hedge after leaving the road and coming off his bike.

“The man, believed to be in his early 50s, had suffered arm, chest and suspected pelvic injuries.

“The man received emergency treatment at the scene by medics, including pain relief and being immobilised.

“Following treatment the man was airlifted to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for further emergency treatment.

“Thankfully the man was wearing fully armoured safety clothing which medics said helped to minimise the injuries he suffered.”
