An extensive search was conducted around the surrounding area and officers are now reviewing CCTV footage to try to identify the offender.

He is described as white, in his late twenties/early thirties, about 6ft tall and of slim build. He was wearing a plain black waist-length jacket with the hood up, black scarf and gloves and possibly blue jeans.

It has not been confirmed whether the black gun he was carrying was real or imitation.
