A man has been taken to hospital after a scaffolding incident in Lillington.

Emergency services - including an air ambulance- were called to Cubbington Road on Wednesday morning (August 6).

A spokesperson from the West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports that a man had fallen around five metres from a ladder which was on top of scaffolding.

"The incident took place outside the GP Surgery on Cubbington Road, Lillington at around 11.20am on Wednesday.

"An ambulance and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance were sent to the scene.

"The man received initial treatment from medical staff from the practice.

"He was assessed and treated at the scene for multiple, non-life threatening injuries.

"He was taken by ambulance to UHCW for further treatment.”

A spokesperson from Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called at 11.36 to support ambulance partners at an incident in Cubbington Road in Lillington.

"A fire appliance from Leamington fire station attended and fire crews used a turntable ladder to rescue a male from a roof who had been involved in an accident with some scaffolding.

"The male was left in the care of the ambulance service."
