Man accused of murdering Elzbieta Kinczyk denied driving off with her in his car

THE man accused of murdering a 23-year-old Leamington woman visited the area where her body was found after she went missing, a court has heard.

Elzbieta Kinczyk, a polish national and mother-of-one who had been living in Northway, Old Town, while working to send money home to her son and husband, was clubbed to death and raped in June last year.

Her badly decomposed body was found in a field in Windmill Hill Lane, near Chesterton Windmill, on June 16 - ten days after she had gone missing.

Piotr Moczulski, 26, of Newgale Walk, Sydenham, denies murder.

Prosecutor Mark Dennis QC told Warwick Crown Court on Monday that Moczulski’s former partner Ewelyna was close friends with Ms Kinczyk, who was better known as Ela.

Moczulski had asked to meet Ms Kinczyk on June 6 to discuss how he could repair the relationship with Ewelyna.

CCTV footage showed Ms Kinczyk getting into Moczulski’s car near Rangemaster in Grove Place and the car being driven off.

But Mr Dennis said Moczulski denies Ms Kinzyck was in the car when he drove off and that she had left to go to another meeting.

When Moczulski was first arrested on suspicion of murder police placed him under surveillance and fitted a hidden tracking device to his car.

He was later seen buying a spade before driving to the lane near where Ms Kinczyk’s body was found.

Items including latex gloves, bin liners torn to make sheets and a metal bar were later found hidden in a bush near to Moczulski’s house.

When he was arrested for a second time Moczulski declined to comment when questioned by officers.

The case continues.
